Privacy Policy for AppPage
Last Updated: 2026-10-05
This policy explains what information AppPage ("we", "us") collects when you use https://apppage.co, our short links and the landing pages we host for apps. It covers what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
1. Who this covers
- Account holders: people who sign in to AppPage to create apps and links.
- Link visitors: people who open an AppPage short link or a landing page we host for someone else's app.
- Website visitors: people browsing apppage.co.
2. What we collect
2.1 From account holders
- Account details: your name, email address and profile photo, from Google sign-in or the email address you sign in with.
- App details you add or that we read from the public App Store or Google Play listing: app name, icon, description, store links, screenshots, rating, and the privacy policy and terms text you generate for your app.
- Subscription details: your plan, its status and billing dates. Payments are handled by Polar; we never see or store your full card number.
- Usage: how many apps you have and how many clicks your links have served.
2.2 From link visitors
When someone opens a short link or a hosted landing page, we record the click so the app's owner can see analytics:
- A one-way hash of the IP address. The IP address itself is used only to look up an approximate location (country, region, city) and is not stored.
- Browser, operating system, device type and model, language, screen size and time zone, from the browser's standard request information.
- The referring site, any campaign (UTM) tags in the link, the time of the click and where the visitor was sent.
We do not use this to identify visitors, follow them across other sites, or build profiles of them.
2.3 Cookies and similar storage
We use cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in forms. Your browser also stores a few interface preferences, such as whether to show demo apps. We count visits to apppage.co with Ahrefs Web Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.
3. How we use it
- To run your account and provide the service: creating apps, short links, landing pages and QR codes, and redirecting visitors to the right store.
- To show you analytics for your own links.
- To enforce plan limits, such as the number of apps and the Free plan's click allowance.
- To process subscriptions and send service emails: sign-in links, billing notices and messages about your account.
- To write suggested app descriptions and FAQs: when you create an app, its public name and store description are sent to OpenAI to generate them.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with providers that help us run AppPage, and only what each needs:
- Polar: payments and subscriptions.
- Contabo: the servers that run AppPage and store uploaded files.
- MongoDB Atlas: database hosting.
- Resend: sending email.
- Google: sign-in, when you choose Continue with Google.
- OpenAI: an app's public name and store description, to write suggested content.
- Cloudflare: network delivery and protection for our website and email domains.
- Ahrefs: counting visits to apppage.co.
- Mux: streaming the product video on our sign-in page.
- Slack: internal notifications to our team, such as a new sign-in or a new app, which include your email address and the app's name.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect AppPage and its users from fraud or abuse.
5. How long we keep it
- Account and app data: for as long as your account exists. When you delete an app, it is removed from our database. If you delete an app on the Free plan, we keep the number of clicks it used so the allowance is not reset.
- Link visitor analytics: deleted automatically 2 years after each click.
- Subscription records: kept as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations.
When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, apps and their analytics within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed on the backup provider's schedule.
6. Your choices and rights
- Edit or delete any of your apps at any time from your dashboard.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
- If you live where data protection law gives you further rights, such as the right to object or to complain to a data protection authority, you can use them through the same email address.
- App owners are responsible for telling their own users about the analytics an AppPage link collects.
7. Security
Connections to AppPage use HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are stored as one-way hashes, and payment details are handled by Polar rather than by us. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can access personal data and collect no more than the service needs.
8. Children
AppPage is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also email account holders.
10. Contact
